Show Lewis Prothero sustains serious burns Ity Hilma I.amoreaux Lewis Prothero was rushed to the Valley View Medical Center on Mon. after being seriously burned. Lew had taken his hay baler to the Dale Robinson yard to have a part welded and during the mending process the hay got on fire from the welding iron. Dale rushed in the house for water to douse the fire and Lew picked up a handy jug to use for the same purpose, not checking to see what it contained. The jug contained gasoline and the resulting conflagration set the man on fire. Both hands and arms and his chest were burned, some of the injuries being third degree burns. Me is still being treated at the hospital where he developed pneumonia from inhaling the fumes from burning gasoline. Latest reports are that he is improving. |
