Show Disauieu anu L,egai services. uiuue ai ijno-ooti, vcucu Pioneer Day Program planned A public meeting in honor of the Pioneers who settled Utah and gave us our precious heritage will be held July 24 in the Rock Church between Main and 100 East on Center Street. The program, sponsored by the Sons and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers will be held im- ' mediately following the Pioneer Day parade, which is scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. Conducting the program will be Merrill B. Kunz, president of the Cedar City Sons of Utah Pioneers. Prelude music will be provided through recordings of the DUP band. Speaker will be Dr. Leslie Burbridge and special musical selections will include vocal solo by Sarah Jane Peterson who will accompany herself on the guitar; and country music by the Country Fiddle group including Rachelle Thorley, Robynn Thorley, Cindy Sayer, Carolyn Chatterly, Vicki Anderson, Colleen Thorley and David Paine. Congregation singing will include the "Star Spangled Banner," and "They the Builders of the Nation." Conducting will be Gladys Isom with Mary Jane Seaman as accompanist. Invocation will be given by Lorin C. Miles with Wilbur Anderson An-derson to pronounce the benediction. |
