Show A o o ADVANCES TO NATIONALS. Kenneth Loosley, Parowan High School Rodeoer, took third place at the State High School finals this week, which qualified him to advance to the national finals in South Dakota. Kenneth Loosley in Rodeo Finals PAROWAN- KennethLoosley, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Loosley, has been qualifed to participate par-ticipate in the National High School Rodeo finals in Huron, South Dakota, in the cow cutting event. The National Finals will be held July 31st through August 6th. Kenneth recently com peted in the Utah State High School Rodeo finals in Heber City in calf roping and cow cutting and placed third in the state with an excellent score. He was awarded a beautiful gold and silver engraved Belt Buckle and a plaque. Four hundred riders competed in the state finals. Kenneth is a member of the Parowan High School Rodeo Club and is 15 years old. Troy Bowler of St. George placed F"irst in the cutting with a score of 146, second place went to Cory McNeil with 133 y-i with Kenneth scoring 133 for third place. The state meet ran from June 21 to June 24, a week declared as "Rodeo Week" by Governor Scott Matheson. |
