Show Maybe next time A plan to reorganize the city adminstration, putting more emphasis on the mayor's role, was scrapped before last week's city council meeting. To the plan we say, "good riddance." Maybe it is intuition, but something tells us Cedar City is not quite ready for a full salaried part-time part-time mayor. No one is decrying the mayor for the amount of work he has put into his first six months in office-efforts office-efforts this far in the adminstration ad-minstration are commendable-but commendable-but a hasty change with only one week's investigation by council members and the public was not warranted. What the future holds for administrative ad-ministrative changes is yet to be seen. Undoubtedly changes will be better received then than now, as the idea feels premature. |
