Show Webster to be honored at Open House Society. She is especially fond of some of her early memories when the first horseless buggie came to Cedar City and playing the piano for some of the first silent movies in the community. Mrs. Webster has five children: RoseMarie (deceased), Marjorie, Francis, Richard and Dan. She also has 21 grandchildren grand-children and three great grandchildren. ' .. , ' w " -0 '. - MRS. EVELYN WEBSTER The family of Evelyn Palmer Webster invite their friends and associates to a reception to be held in honor of her 80th birthday at the Second Ward Meeting House Saturday, July 1. The reception will be from 7 to 9 p. m. They request no gifts please. Mrs. Webster was born July 18, 1898 to Jethro and Mary Ann Middleton Palmer and has lived her entire life in Cedar City except for a short time she attended school in northern Utah and taught school at Delta. She is especially found of the opportunities she has had of working with the Primary children at the Indian Branch for the past nine years and has so enjoyed en-joyed the friendliness and singing of these young children. Mrs. Wrebster has spent many years of service to the community and church, serving as President of the Southern Utah District of the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs, member of the Cedar City Zoning Council and Library Board. She served as Iron County chairman of the women's salvage during World War II, was president of the Utah Woolgrowers Auxiliary and as chairman of the health committee of the Cedar City Coordinating Council. She served as Parowan Stake President of the Primary and as Cedar Stake President and Ward President of the YWMIA and spent 15 years as the Literary and Social Science Leader of the old Cedar East Ward. Mrs. Webster has always enjoyed good music and has served as a committee member for the Cedar City Music Arts and is presentlv serving as a board mem' of the Iron County Historical |
