Show Registration for Evening Classes at SUSC slated for January 8 Registration for Southern Utah State College Continuing Education and Extended Day (evening school) classes will be held Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the SUSC small ballroom, student center. "Our schedule this quarter includes over 40 classes, with several special interest courses dealing with the winter environment, en-vironment, pioneer skills and Bicentennial-oriented topics," McRay Cloward, dean of the school of continuing education, said. Cloward noted that a jewelry making class, proving to be one of the most popular courses on campus, is being offered also. "The evening school program is designed for flexibility, so most of the classes are offered either as a credit or non-credit course depending on the desires and needs of each student," Cloward explained. Individual and academic counseling will be provided by SUSC Counseling Services for persons registering for classes Thursday evening. Cloward noted that the fees for extended day classes are the same whether or not they are taken for college credit. Some classes require additional fees for special materials. Class instruction begins January 12. Registration and payment of fees must be complete com-plete by the second class period. A complete list of continuing education courses is available at Dr. Cloward's office, first floor, Old Main, or at the SUSC Registrar's Office, second floor, administration building. Among the course offerings are several graduate classes in . education offered through cooperation with Utah State University. Other classes are offered in business, education, art and music, home economics, technical education, agriculture, physical education, communications, com-munications, behavioral science, and languages. |
