Show BICENTENNIAL SIMRIT.Faris Segler, 18-year-old art student at Southern Utah State College got busy during the holiday and crocheted this 15 x 6 foot afghan in the form of a colonial flag. Although the picture does not do justice to the work, the flag was done as a personal effort toward the Bicentennial celebration by the Cedar City miss. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gam Segler of 106 South 300 East. She is a graduate of Cedar High School and is now attending at-tending SUSC. This past year she was a candidate can-didate for the Miss Iron County title and displayed pen drawings for her talent selection. She will use the afghan to cover her bed and says that she plans other activities during the year. The flag contains 22 skeins of yarn and includes the original 13 starts and 13 stripes in red, white and blue. |
