Show PARAGON AH , NEWS I Hv llilnia Lamoroaux Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Topham were happy to have family members with them during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Stolk, daughter Cynthia and son Michael and his girl friend were all here from Ely, Nevada for three days. During their stay here the Gale Stolk family of Parowan joined them for a holiday dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Thornton and their son Michael of Ogden were here for a two day holiday visit with Gerry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson left for Orem on Wed. of last week to visit for several days with relatives. Irene's sister, Mrs. Nina Hamilton had comne form Montana to spend a few days and the sisters were getting together. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Abbott and two small children of Salt Lake City arrived here on Wed. of last week to visit their people, the Myron Abbott and Albin Judd families and to attend the wedding of Lee's brother Russell. . TheDarrell Thornton family of Las Vegas spent several days here at the vacation home last week. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones were to Fredonia on Sat. to visit with the Rodney Jones family. Mrs. Norma Topham entered the Hospital in St. George on Sun. in preparation for back surgery which was scheduled for the following day. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Topham daughter Jennifer traveled to Taylorsville on Sat. for a few days visit with the Clinton Topham family. The Special Interest group held their New Years Eve party at the home of Mrs. Ruth Boardman and a fine time was had by all. Pot luck dinner was served and games and other entertainment were enjoyed. Mrs. Alice Robinson and Mrs. Lasca Hunt came from Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Robinson and two of their daughters , arrived here on Mon. of last week to visit with the K. Doyle Robinsons until Tues. evening when they went on to Cedar City to Marion's people. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham returned home on Fri. after being out of town for many weeks. She flew from Salt Lake City to San Francisco in Nov. to spend Thanksgiving ; with herf son, Lanell and his family in Modesto and was with them for more than three weeks. She spent Christmas in Kearns with the Ray Berrie family, visited overnight in Ogden with Mr. and Mrs. Hillman Stevens, was in Salt Lake City for a couple of days with the George Squires and Owen Hullingers and then went to Delta to spend New Years with , the Doyle Tophams.. Doyle and Pearl brought her home on Fri. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lefler of Agoura, Calif, arrived here on Christmas day to visit until the following Tues. with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lefler. Mrs. Carmen Topham is home again after a holiday visit with the Legrande Leigh family in Plain City. She returned here on Wed. with Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones who had been to Salt Lake City and Plain City. On Fri. Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson enjoyed having their daughters all here from Cedar City. Present were Mrs. Ivy Skougaard and her three youngsters, Mrs. Pieva Matheson, two of her daughters and one grandchild, Mrs. Myrtle Walker and her daughter, Mrs. Linda Frost and her new baby. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Robinson and family of Richfield visited here on Fri. with Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux. j Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Thornton traveled to Caliente on Christ-1 mas day to visit overnight with Kristine's mother, Mrs. Elaine Hillman. The sisters and their families were also there. Mrs. Rowena Stones is home again after a holiday trip that took her to Greenriver, Wyo. to spend Christmas with granddaughter grand-daughter Mrs. Tanya Musbach and her husband Tim, then on to Craig, Colorado . with her daughter, Eleanor for a few days stay. Mr. and Mrs. Cal Smith of Sandy were weekend visitors to this area where they saw Rachels sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Lamoreux, daughter Diane and son Gary traveled lo Phoenix Ariz, on New Year's Day to visit until Sat. with Janice and John Sturdevant and young Justin. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot and Judy were to St. George on Sat. for a visit with the Brent Talbots. Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux w as an overnight guest at the Bud Bauer home in Cedar City on Fri. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson An-derson were lo Kanab on Dec. 27 to spend the day with son Jimmy and his family. Mrs. Miriam Limb and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Low of Beaver were there also to enjoy dinner with the family. |
