Show Cedar Chapter 20 OfOES Holds June Meeting Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star, met for its regular meeting Monday evening, June 12, at the Masonic Ma-sonic Temple with Mrs. Jennie Peters, worthy matron, and Gustin Gooding, worthy patron pa-tron presiding. During the business meeting the Robert Morris Day committee com-mittee reported that Sunday, July 16, would be the date for the summer event. The outing out-ing will be held at the Paro-wan Paro-wan Five Mile recreation area for members and their families famil-ies and invited guests. Gustin Gooding announced that he and Mrs. Gooding had awarded a scholarship to the Shakespearean Festival in the name of Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of Eastern Star. The Chapter voted to dispense dis-pense with meetings during July and August, with the secretary and treasurer remaining re-maining active to transact emergency business affairs. The worthy matron and worthy wort-hy Patron extended their wishes wish-es for a very happy and healthy heal-thy summer. Following the meeting refreshments re-freshments were served by Thelma Gutheil and Susan Proctor. The buffet tables were centered with bowls of lovelv varied colored Iris and Persian lilacs. i ' Mrs. Rhea H. Wakeling is traveling to Orem with her son, Wendell and family to visit her daughter LaRae for a week. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Mun-ford Mun-ford spent Sunday afternoon at Zion National Park visiting their daughter, Kathy, on the occasion of her birthday. Miss Munford is employed at the Parks. |
