Tour directors are beginning to promote visits, singly and in groups. And already al-ready the advance sale of tickets indicate a new high in attendance for this year. Now, more than ever, it can be said that the Utah Shakespearean Shakes-pearean Festival is good for Cedar City, economically as well as culturally. Project Underwritten For the second year a national na-tional corporation, Avon Products, Pro-ducts, Inc., has recognized the worth of this project by underwriting un-derwriting the cost of the costumes. cos-tumes. But the success of the Festival still depends on the support of the local people. To organize wide local support sup-port for the Festival, the Guild was started in 1963. Membership has grown and last year, in deep apreciation of the support of the Guild, the. Festival listed the names Of all members of the Giiilrl in the Official Programs. This will be done again this year. The cost of membership is $5.00 per person; $10.00 for husband and wife. Defray Expenses The funds collected by the Guild will be used to help defray the living expenses of members of the cast who donate don-ate so generously of their time and talents for the weeks of rehearsal as well as the weeks of the Festival itself. Anyone interested in supporting sup-porting the Festival by joining the Guild can do so by sending send-ing a check to Gustin O. Gooding, Good-ing, chairman, Box 646, Cedar City. Checks should be made out to Shakespearean Festival Guild. |
