Show Fire Danger High In Spite of Rains This Month Federal and State fire control con-trol agencies report wildland fire danger is high Inspite of . recent storms. Annual grasses and weeds are abundant this year as a result of above normal precipitation and are cured or curing at the lower elevations. With the advent of warm weather the danger of fire is increasing rapidly. All citizens are requested to be mindful of the fire danger and be especially careful with trash fires, weed burning, campfires, cigarettes and matches. Camping or picnicing in State, National Park, Forest Service or Bureau of Land Management improved campgrounds camp-grounds is suggested since the danger of accidentally caused fires in these areas is much reduced. If you see smoke or a wildfire wild-fire please report it to the Utah Highway Patrol by dialing dial-ing Zenith 123, the local sheriff, sher-iff, or the local office of the Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service or Park Service. |
