Show Class B and C Road Funds Are Distributed Utah's 29 counties and 212 cities and towns will be the recipients this year of $4,241,-951.08 $4,241,-951.08 allocated from the Class B and C Road funds. This compares with last year's figure of $3,988,504.16. David Greenwood, B & C Road Fund administrator, Utah State Department of Highways, stated that the appropriation ap-propriation is made to the State Road Commission by the state auditor on the first day of March from the motor vehicle ve-hicle registration fund. The appropriation is made after the expenses for administering administer-ing the registration of vehicles ve-hicles has been dedicated. The State Road Commission's Commis-sion's share of the fund is $747,317, compared to $662,835 for 1966. Allocations to Iron County and cities and towns within the county based on population popula-tion and road milages was announced as follows: Iron County's portion of the fund based on 768.2 miles of road is $84,944.02. City distri-butions distri-butions included $18,709.98 for Cedar City, $803.84 for Kan-arraville, Kan-arraville, $1,191.35 for Para-gonah, Para-gonah, and $4,703.26 for Parowan. Paro-wan. Total B and C road funds for the county amount to $110,352.45. In Kane County the total fund amounted to $67,358.15; Beaver, $95,589.18; Garfield, $100,045.57 and Washington. $83,592.73. "The primary purpose of the Class B and C road funds," Greenwood stated, "is that of permanent road construction. Local funds, when suitable, should be used for maintenance mainten-ance operations, for sidewalks, and curb and gutter installation." installa-tion."
