Show Funeral Rites Held For Vie M. Sprague Funeral services were held Saturday, Juno 17, for Vie Mathews Sprague at the Cedar Ce-dar Eighth Ward Chapel with Bp. Ardoen Childs conducting. Mrs. Sprague died June 14 following a long illness. ( Speakers at the services included in-cluded Elwood Corry and Ver-nee Ver-nee Frame. Special musical numbers included a selection "As the Dew from Heaven Distilling," Dis-tilling," by the Eighth Ward Singing Mothers, a vocal duet "Whispering Hope," by Howard How-ard and Orma Wood, and a vocal solo, "Somewhere My Love," by Dr. Blaine Johnson. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by Calvert Ditlevsen and Fred Howes. Invocation was by Tyree Bulloch Bul-loch and the benediction by Bp. Robert Linford. Dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery was by Frank Petty. Prelude and postlude music was by Gertrude Lund. |
