Show February Travel To Zion Totals 14,000 February travel to Zion National Na-tional Park totaled 14,000 visits, according to Warren F. Hamilton, Hamil-ton, superintendent. This represents repre-sents an increase of 2,980 visits, of 27 above February of 1965. Even with cold nights still lingering, lin-gering, the campground was used by 115 campers during February showing a 29 increase over the same period last year. The yearly total of visits to date is 27,830 for 1966, showing a 19 increase in travel above last year. The yearly total of campers indicate a 19 increase above last year's count. According Accord-ing to these figures, it Indicates that Zion National Park will accommodate ac-commodate an ever increasing number of visitors in the year 1966. The Park visitor center, museum, muse-um, and south campground, operated op-erated by the National Park Service, Ser-vice, are open throughout the winter season. The hours for the visitor center are now 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. Good eating and overnight over-night facilities are available in nearby communities outside the park. |
