Show Its Parowan Against Dixie and Millard Atrainst Enterprise in Region Eight Playoff FINAL STANDING Millard Division Delta 6 2 .750 Parowan 5 3 .625 Millard 5 3 .625 Beaver 4 4 .500 Milford 0 8 .000 With the Delta High basketball basket-ball team clinching the division championship the week before the final round, it took the final round and the flip of a coin to determine the Millard Division entrys in the Region Eight playoff play-off to be held this week end. Before last week's finale three teams were tied for the runner-up runner-up spots, Parowan, Millard and Beaver, with only Milford out of the race. In the final round of play, Parowan and Millard, on their home floors had an easy time in dowinging Milford and Beaver, with the Rams defeating Milford 77 to 62 and Millard taking Beaver 64 to 51 on Friday night. This left the Rams and Eagles in a tie for second and third with both teams in the Region playoff. A flip of the coin by representatives representa-tives of the two schools at Fillmore Fill-more Saturday afternoon gave the nod to Parowan for second place and Millard in third, and they will enter the playoff in that order respectively, if it means anything. In the Dixie Division, Dixie and Enterprise finished in a tie for second and third, and second place was more important in this race as the second place team is to host the playoff. But we understand that the tie was resolved re-solved by an agreement to hold said playoff in the Dixie College gym in St. George, with the Parowan Par-owan Rams to meet the Dixie Flyers and the Millard Eagles meeting the Enterprise Wolves, according to information given us by Coach Charles Brinkerhoff Brinker-hoff of the Rams. Parowan will meet Dixie at 7 p. m. Friday with Millard to meet Enterprise at 8:30 p. m. in the Dixie College gymnasium. |
