Show Taxpayers Vill Make Final Decision On Proposed School Bond Issue at Polls Tues.f March 15 The matter of who can and cannot vote, is of concern in a special election of this type. To clarify that, a statement lrom the district was issued as follows: Each person voting in the school bond election to be held on March 15, must be REGISTERED REGISTER-ED and must have PAID a PROPERTY PRO-PERTY TAX in the year preceding preced-ing this election on property located lo-cated within the political subdivision sub-division which is conducting this bond election. If the person fails to qualify on either provision he cannot vote at this election. Registered voters who are purchasing pur-chasing property under contract and whose names therefore do not appear on the tax rolls, and yet who in fact are paying taxes, should take to the polls with them some evidence of such payment. Whether or not Iron County School District will be granted permission to issue and sell bonds in the amount of $800,000 will be answered Tuesday, March 15 when taxpayers of Iron County Coun-ty trek to the polls to ballot on the bond issue. The Iron County School Board is requesting permission of the taxpayers of the county to create the bonded indebtedness for the principal purpose of meeting building needs at Parowan High School in the immediate future, according to Royce Chamberlain, president of the board. Other proposals have also been advanced, however, the immediate immed-iate needs of Parowan High School have been the prime motivating mo-tivating force in the board's request re-quest for the right to bond. Polls will open throughout the rountv at 7 a. m. Tuesday and will remain open until 8 p. m. A listing of polling places by School Precincts may be found in an official of-ficial notice in this issue of the Iron County Record. Clerk of the District also pointed point-ed out that absentee ballots are also available, where necessary, at the district offices in Cedar City. A series of public meetings have been held by the district to answer questions relative to the proposed bonding program and several of the meetings remain prior to the final election of March 15. This evening in Parowan members mem-bers of the District will be in attendance at-tendance at a meeting of the Parowan Par-owan Lions Club and on Saturday, Satur-day, March 12 at 7 p. m. a public-meeting will be held at Enoch for this purpose.
