Show I Diane Smith Leads Women Bowlers In League Activites Diane Smith, rolling in the' Thursday Morning Koftee League topped all women bowlers tnis past week when she posted a 611 series which included a 225 game. The high score led her team to the high series in her league of 1778. Other members of the team are Peg Jensen and Donna Jolley. A 625 rolled by Lillian Hazel, Marie Nelson and Evelyn Brazier, however, captured the high team game honors. Donna Jolley walked off with high honors in the Stirkett league with a 216 game and 566 series. Other high scores included a 210 game by Virginia Hunter, as well as a 534 series. Nora Smith had a 524 series, Colleen Nelson a 514 and Lura Stapley a 507. In team competition Hunter Hardware, including Marie Memmott, Jerry Berry, Ruth Webb, Todd Lambeth and Virginia Hunter had the high marks with a 820 game and 2369 series. It was Leigh Furniture sweeping sweep-ing the highs in the Alley Katts league with a 686 games and 1948 series. Members of the team are Tillie Biederman, Iva Bring-hurst, Bring-hurst, Jean Bunting and Jerry Gersick. Lillian Hazel posted the high game, a 196 and series honors hon-ors went to Afton Stapley with a 533. Close behind was Lura Stapley Stap-ley with a 526 and Jean Bunting with a 521. LaRue Bleak had the top effort ef-fort in the Queen Pins league with a 213 game and 555 series while Northeast Furniture captured cap-tured the team honors with a 782 game and 2293 series. Members of the team are Alice Tuckett, Marian Arns, Betty Hunter and Fern Urie. |
