Show Knife and Fork Club Members to Hear Lecture March 16th. Members of the Escalante Knife and Fork Club will listen to Dr. Orlo Brees, "Citizen of the United States," when the club meets for dinner Wednesday, March, 16, at the College of Southern Utah Student Center. The "Citizen of the United States" appelation is one tacked on the honorary Doctor by his friends because of the breadth of Dr. Brees's travels and experience. He has been a coal miner in the middle west, a textile worker in the east, sat for 12 years in the State Legislature of New York, and more recently finished more than six years of Public Relations work for the Western Division of the National Association of Manufacturers. Man-ufacturers. In between Brees's carreer have been substantial stints as salesman, sales-man, teacher, editor and printer. But alway there was in the background back-ground the ability to speak en- tertainingly from the platform, a trait that has brought him national na-tional attention. He attained knowledge by formal form-al education as well as the school of hard knocks at Shurtleff College, Col-lege, Bront and Columbia University, Uni-versity, the University College of , Southhampton, England and the University of Vienna. |
