Show J -" 1 I EVAN JONES Evan Jones Named To Participate In Science Symposium Evan Jones, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Yark Jones of Cedar City, and a junior at the Cedar City High School, has been selected to represent the school at the Fourth Intermountain Junior Science Sci-ence and Humanities Symposium at the University of Utah this week. The symposium, to which one student from each high school is selected to attend, began today, to-day, Thursday, and will continue contin-ue through Saturday. Jones and other representatives representa-tives from throughout the state will be guests of the U of U and vill stay at Camp Williams for lodging and meals. The representative from Cedar High School was selected by the teachers on the basis of overall excellence. Jones was also required re-quired to submit a paper on a subject of his choice and he selected se-lected "Corono Electricity". The schedule of activities will include touring of various business bus-iness and research laboratories in the Salt Lake area, a tour of the University of Utah and special spe-cial evening sessions at Camp Williams. |
