Show Farewell Testimonial Sunday Evening For Cedar Missionary REID SHERRATT A farewell testimonial will be held Sunday, Mar. 13 at 6:00 p. m. in the Cedar Third Ward Chapel for James Reid Sherratt, who has been called by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints to serve a two-year mission. Sherratt, the son of Mrs. Gwen Sherratt, has been called to the North Central States Mission. He will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Monday, Mar. 21. Friends and relatives are invited invit-ed to attend the testimonial in his honor Sunday. The Missionary is a graduate of Cedar High School where he was active in athletics. He also graduated grad-uated from the LDS Institute of Religion. At tse time of his call he was a junior student at College of Southern Utah in the field of mathematics and education. He has also been attending the LDS Institute of Religion. A member of the Seventies Quorum Qu-orum of the Cedar Stake Sherratt has served as a Stake Missionary for the past year. Speakers at Sunday's Testimonial Testimon-ial will include Scott Truman, Dennis Mosdell, Duane Bauer and Glen Crawford. Remarks will also al-so be made by Mrs. Sherratt and by Bishop Dan Crawford, who will be conducting. A response from the missionary will also be heard. Special musical numbers will include two numbers by the Third Ward Choir, "The Lord is My Shepherd" and "The Voice of God is Heard Again," and Cheryl Brown will render a piano solo. Invocation will be by Allen Heaton and the benediction will be by John Sherratt. |
