Show ! Hurricane Installs Extensive New Street Light System An extensive street and com-j com-j mu'iity lighting system has been undertaken by Hurricane in Washington County. According to Edwin Cox, division divi-sion manager of California-Pacific Utilities Company, who serve the electrical needs of Hurricane 22-lu,(X0 lumen lights and 51 2,500 lumen lights have been installed in-stalled at the request of Hurricane. Hurri-cane. An additional 22-20,000 lumen lu-men lights will be Installed along the highway through the center of town on an ornamental I steel pole system. I Mayor Wayne Hinton notes ! that each of the new lights has a Photo Electric Control to turn j it on at dusk and off at daylight. iThe open bottom of the fixture will not collect dirt and dut and j therefore allows the full output I of light at all times. In addition to the efforts of the city government as indicated, I merchants and individuals have taken steps to increase the light-, light-, ing system with commercial ln-! ln-! stallatioris of 7,000 Lumen Mer-,cury Mer-,cury Vapor area lights to light I back yard-; and parking areas ' around their businesses and j homes.
