Show May Lister Honored In Funeral Ceremony Impressive funeral services were held in the Paragonah Ward Chapel on Thursday of last week for Mrs. May Lister and a large crowd of friends and relative? were present. Bishop Boyd Robinson conducted conduct-ed the service which began with the choir singing "I Need Thee, Every Hour," under the direction of D. Amasa Stones and with Mrs. Melva Barton at the organ. George A. Topham offered the Invocation. In-vocation. A history of the deceased de-ceased was given by a neice, Mrs. Orlssa Hirschl. Musical numbers included a piano solo, "Oh, My Father," by Don Flora, a grand-Bon-in-law, a vocal duet, "In the Garden," by Mrs. Rula Orton, and a vocal selection, "Jesus, Lover of My Soul," by Mr. and Mrs. DeMoine Jones, D. Amasa Stones and Mrs. Mary Dawn Dalton. Mrs. Barton accompanied the vocal vo-cal numbers and was at the organ or-gan for the prelude and postlude music. Speakers were Ancil Adams and Bishop Robinson. The choir sang "Rest, Rest, for the Weary Soul" and Edgar Lister Lis-ter pronounced the benediction. At the cemetery the dedicatory prayer was given by LaVar Gale. |
