Show Former Resident Dies In American Fork Relatives in Parowan received word on the week end of the death of George Smith Wlmmcr, 81, a native and former resident of this community. Mr. Wimmer died at his home in American Fork Saturday morning from natural na-tural causes. Funeral services were held for him Tuesday noon in the American Ameri-can Fork Second -Seventh Ward LDS chopel and burial took place In the American Fork cemetery. Attending the funeral rites from here were Wimmer Mortensen and Ruby M. Orton, cousins of the deceased. Mr. Wimmer was born in Parowan Paro-wan Jan. 14, 1S83, a son of Peter and Mary Amelia Smith Wimmer, Wim-mer, and was a resident of this community for almost 40 years He was married to Hazel Pulley of American Fork Sept. 13, 1919, and the marriage was later sol-lemnized sol-lemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He had worked as a cat-I cat-I tl a:id sheep raiser. After moving to American Fork he has been an employee of the old Salt Lake and Utah Railroad, Utah Idaho Sugar Co. and Utah Poultry Co op. Surviving are his widow, Am-eri Am-eri an Fork; three sons, Warren Smith Wimmer, Layton, and Le land and Eugene Wimmer both nf American Fork; also lb grandchildren; one brother, Cnas Warren Wimmer, Ogden, a sister, Mrs. Eugene W. Morris, Mid vale; half sisters Mrs. Libby Griffith, Vldvale. Mrs Kate Jennings, Salt jLi'ke City. |
