Show Parowan Residents To Celebrate City's 114th Birthday Parowan City will celebrate Its 111th. birthday on Wednesday, Jan. 13 and arrangements are being made for a suitable observance observ-ance of that occasion. The program for the day will be under the direction of the two local camps of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Sons of Utah Pioneers chapter, with Mrs. Mae Benson, Mrs. Twill Thornton Thorn-ton and D. Watson Adams in charge. The day's observance will get under way with a public meeting at 10:30 a. m. in the Third Ward chapel and this will be followed by group luncheon in the recreation rec-reation hall. Families of the community com-munity aie asked to Join together togeth-er and bring their lunch and enjoy en-joy some real old-fashioned togetherness. to-getherness. Hot chocolate will be furnished to everyone by the DUP camps and they will also prepare lunch for everyone who comes from out of town. At 1:30 p. m. the SUP will sponsor a program in the chapel and following this there will be dancing in the recreation hall. Every citizen of the community is urged to support the activities of the day and come out and en-Joy en-Joy themselves. |
