Show Parowan-Paragonah Blood Drive Termed Successful l The Parowan-Paragonah area came within three pints of reaching reach-ing the assigned quota at the visit of the Red Cross bloodmo-bile bloodmo-bile here last Thursday, it is announced an-nounced by workers at the blood donor headquarters. With a quota set at CO pints, for this visit, 57 was the number of pints reported donated by residents res-idents of the two communities. This was much better than was donated at the !t visit of, the bloodmoblle and those in I charge were quite pleased with the results. Mrs. A. C. Hatch Is acting as local blood procurement chairman chair-man and was very appreciative of the assistance given by the following people at the blood donation do-nation center at the high school: Margaret Knight and Joan Wheatley who secured donor pledges, Jean Evans, who acted act-ed as hostess at the center; Son-ya Son-ya Adams and Dale Stevens, typists. Emma Mortensen, nurse; Alice Mitchell and Phoebe Tay-1 lor, who gave out bottles and recorded re-corded the results; Aleen Orton and Sarah Dean Smith, nurses aides who helped take the blood; ' and the following members of, the American Legion Auxiliary, who operated the canteen, Jean-ette Jean-ette Bayles, Bertrude Mitchell. Carmen Topham and Roene Lund. Doctors from the two Cedar City Ciinlcs were in attendance durl:ig the afternoon. |
