Show Southern Utah 4-H Clubs Slate 2-Day Campus Meet Older 4-H Club members and leaders from nine southern Utah counties will hold a two-day camp on College of Southern Utah campus beginning May 27. Purpose of the gathering is to train the 4-H'ers in leadership, foster fellowship and recognize 4-H accomplishments, explained Miss - Amy Kearsley, assistant state 4-H Club leader at Utah State University. Attending will be approximately approximate-ly 75 4-H clubbers from Washington, Wash-ington, Iron, Beaver, Kane, Sevier. Se-vier. Wayne, Garfield, Piute and Millard counties. Clayne Jensen, recreation spe. clalist at USU, will be in charge of recreation and handicraft training sessions. County agents and home agents will assist. Two "good ambassadors" from India,' ndikuthlra G. Devalah and Yoglnder Dlwan, In Utah as In-ternatlonal In-ternatlonal Farm Youth Exchange Ex-change students, will address the group. I Dr. Royden C Bralthwalte, dl. rector at CSU, will discuss get-1 ting along with family and friends. A panel will discuss or- ganlzlng and holding of county! 4-H camps. I A nature scavenger hunt will be held and safety skits presented present-ed during an afternoon of fun at Duck Creek or Parowan Can-1 yon. A campftre ceremony will climax the two-day event j A similar camp for northern Utah older 4-H Clubber and leaders lead-ers will be held June 27-29 at. USU In Logan. |
