Show Fourth Ward Youths Earn Church Awards Three young men of the Cedar Fourth Ward were recipients of, the coveted "Duty to God" award t a recent Sacramental service. Receiving the award, depicting four years of outstanding service to the church and to themselves, were Richard Webster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Webster, Ray-mood Ray-mood Munford, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Munford, and Bur-dett Bur-dett Daldwin, so.i of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Baldwin. In order to receive this award each individual recipient must maintain a high standard of service ser-vice and attendance at church activities and functions. Recipients Recipi-ents must also qualify in four successive years while between the ages of 12 and 19. The boys must have gained an individual Aaronlc Priesthood award for four years; they must attend Sunday School and Mutual Improvement Association meetings meet-ings at least 75 of the time for four consecutive years and they must be a member of a registered register-ed Boy Scout troop or Explorer group for the four year period in which the award is given. Lester Roberts of the Fourth Ward was instrumental in helping help-ing these young men receive their "Duty to God" awards starting start-ing them while he was working with the MIA, according to Bishop Bish-op LaNolr Jones. |
