Show Gerald H. Millers to Tavel to New York Word has been received in Cedar Ce-dar City that Mr. and Mrs. Gerald II. Miller of Salt Lake City will be leaving in September of this year for New York City where Mr. Miller has accepted a teaching fellowship in the school of law at Columbia University. Mrs. Miller will be remembered by residents of this area as Shirley Shir-ley Bea Simkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vergene Simkins of Cedar Ce-dar City. Mr. Miller recently received outstanding recognition and several sev-eral awards at the University of Utah Law School annual awards night banquet. He will receive his LLB from the U of U in June of this year. At the awards event he was recognized as the top ranking senior student of the 1958 class; was chosen to the Order of the Coif, scholastic law fraternity; received an award of $100 given giv-en by the Lawyer's Title Insur ance Company of Richmond, Va. for his work in property course and also received a Law Review certificate for work on the staff of the Utah law Review Magazine, Maga-zine, for three years.' He has also served as editor of the campus publication. Mrs. Miller has also been ac-tlce ac-tlce serving as president of the U of U Law Wives organization. She is also a past secretary of the freshman representative of the club. The Millers will leave In Sep-tember Sep-tember for New York with their six-months old daughter, Marlly Grace. |
