Show Cedar Music Student To Appear In Sunday Concert A public vocal recital will be sung by College of Southern Utah graduate. Miss Shraon Corry, Sunday, May 19, at 8:15 p. m. in the CSU auditorium. Miss Corry, a soprano, has been prominent in college musical productions and community programs for the past four years The program of songs and arias, arias in German, English and Italian will include Auf clem Wasser zu Singer by Schubert; Salveg's Lied by Greg! Quandro Men Vo by Puccini; Jerome Kerns You are Love; Strange Music by Brleg and Out of My Drums by Rodgers and Hammerstein. Miss Corry is a graduate of Cedar High School In addition to imany musical activities which included leading roles In college productions of Ahmal and the Night Visitors and La Traviata, she has participated In civic and church functions. She was a candidate can-didate for beauty queen of Ce- Idar City in 1957. She will con- continue her vocal work next year I In Salt Lake City. Pianists accompanying Miss Corry are Emily Spencer, Order-ville; Order-ville; Barbara Bayles, Parowan, and Richard Christiansen, Esoal-ante. Esoal-ante. Each pianist will also play 'solo numbers on the program-Miss program-Miss Spencer will play Chopin's Prelude Opus 28 No. 6 and Cha- brier's Habanera. Miss Bayles will play the Bach French Suite in E Major, Schubert's Schu-bert's Landler, Opus 67 and Horn- ace to the Fair Ladies of Vienna. She will also play Debussy's I Valse Romantique and Seguldil-las Seguldil-las by Albeniz. Mr. Christiansen will perform the Bach Toccata and Fugue. Miss Corry studied vocal techniques tech-niques with Dr. Blaine Johnson 1 and Profesor William Manning of the CSU music division. |
