Show BYU Vice President Will Address Institute Graduates .1 ... ML WILLIAM E. BERRETT Prominent educator and author auth-or William E. Berrett, vice president presi-dent of Brigham Young University, Univer-sity, will present the address to 97 graduates at annual commencement com-mencement exercises of the LDS Institute of Religion at the College Col-lege of Southern Utah. Paul E. Dahl Is Institute director. The 25th annual commencement commence-ment exercises of the Institute have been scheduled In the CSU auditorium Sunday, May 25 at 8:15 p. m. The commencement speaker, Mr. Berrett, is also a vice-administrator of the LDS Church-wide school system. He is In charge of all week-day religious education in the church. He- received his AB degree In 1924 from the Uni- versity of Utah and his LLB degree de-gree from the same university in 1933. He Is the author of numerous books, the most widely known being In the field of church history his-tory and church doctrine. Music for the graduation program pro-gram will include the CSU string ensemble- under the direction of Prof. Roy L. Halversen, and the Institute chorus led by Dr. Blaine Johnson. Welcome address will be presented pre-sented by Ladd Holt, Hatch. Student Stu-dent addresses will be given by Eleanor Grlmshaw, Cedar City and Reed Murdock, Beaver. Graduates Grad-uates will be presented by Institute Insti-tute Director Paul E. Dahl and diplomas by Cedar LDS Stake President Elwood J. Corry. Invocation Invo-cation will be by Thomas L. Christensen, Aurora, and benediction benedic-tion by Cleo Tullis, Newcastle. Following the commencement exercises an open house will be held at the Institute of Religion with the public invited to attend. |
