Show Season's Trout Plant Announced By Fish and Game A record plant of trout will be placed In Utah waters during 1956, the department of fish and game said today. Present plans indicate upwards of 15.000.000 trout of ajl sizes will go into the state's streams, lakes and reservoirs. Two million of these will be of the legal, or lar-ger lar-ger size of seven Inches in length. The balance will be fry and flngerling. The busy season of planting is now getting under way In preparation for the June 9 opening open-ing date of the general season. The season continues through Oct. 14.- Fourteen planting trucks stationed sta-tioned at the state's 12 hatcher, les are now In use as the earJy stocking of legals are made In accessible lakes and reservoirs. Streams where losses may occur during the spring runoff period will not be stocked until late in May or Just prior to the opening dav. The department said that all fishable waters would have a normal, or heavier plant of trout this year. Plants of Segals will be made until early September, with the heaviest output going into the waters Just before -holiday periods when most anglers are afield. Present prediction is' for a good creel return from all waters during dur-ing the early season.
