Show RICHLAND By Doris Fed arson Saturday evening the new E. V. Lions Club held its charter banquet ban-quet at Enterprise in the new L D S church recreation hall. Guests from Cedar City, St. George and surrounding communities commu-nities were present HerscheJ Neelcy president of the Cedar City Lions Club presented to Don Applegate, president of the new Escalante Valley Lions Club, a banner from Cedar. Mr. Cox of St. George presented to the club from St. George, a gong and gavel. A delicious meal was served and entertainment enjoyed enjoy-ed by all. Among the numbers on the program was the Escalante Escal-ante Valley Ladies chorus under un-der the direction of Mrs. Miriam McGarry. Sunday evening Reverend Boss and his family Joined Escalante Valley Sunday School evening service. Reverend Boss delivered a wonderful talk and Mrs. Boss and their daughters played the piano and sang for us. . Monday afternoon the E. V. School P-TA held its last executive execu-tive meeting of the school term. A program was outlined for May 10. On that night the school chU-dren chU-dren will put on a program and the treasured quilt made by the school children will be given away. Refreshments will be served. |
