Show Art Charms Youth One of the most pleasing aspects of the annual Cedar -CUy Spring Art Exhibit is the appreciation of fine art that has been developed among children of the community as a result of the event. ' Much effort has always been put forth to have all children of the schools of Cedar City and surrounding communities, com-munities, visit the exhibit with a competent guide to explain ex-plain the types of art, the styling, colors and design. Now the youngsters have developed such an interest in art that they look forward to the annual exhibit and their visits to it They have become conscious of design and coloring, and in many instances have become familiar with the various vari-ous artists .who have exhibited consistently. There is no question but that the annual exhibit his had a favorable effect on the culture of the community, the appreciation of art that has been developed among adults as the result of the exhibit and the art that has remained re-mained in the schools and homes. However, its influence on young people has undoubtedly been the most important import-ant contribution to the community over the past 16 years. |
