Show NEWS FROM SUMMIT I Mrs. Donna Davenport Our Relief Society held a most successful bazaar and bake sale Monday afternoon. A beautiful selection of aprons and other articles of clothing were sold, along with all kinds of homemade home-made candies, popcorn balls, cakes, cookies, rolls, breads and other foods. Mrs. Beulah Browning returned to San Diego, Calif., after a two months' visit here with her daughter, Mrs. Hyrum Humph-erys, Humph-erys, and family. Mrs. Humph-erys Humph-erys entertained for her mother one afternoon by inviting her friends to her home for luncheon lunch-eon and visiting. Charles R. Dalley spent last week visiting in Parowan at the home of a son-in-law, Rulan Dal-ton, Dal-ton, and celebrated his 88th birthday while there. The M. I. A. put on a most entertaining one-act play last week with Kathleen Dalley, Kay Richards, Jeanne White, Shirley Farrow, Michael Stapley and Dennis Dalley in the cast. The play was directed by Mrs. Lydia Morton. Wilford Lawrence was in Mil- ford Friday evening of last week to attend the Five-County organization or-ganization meeting. Mrs. Linda Holdsworth of Cedar Ce-dar City spent Monday here with her aunt, Mrs. Minnie Dalley, and family. Mrs. Ruth Dalley underwent minor surgery at the Iron Co. Hospital last Monday, but was able to return home that day. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Whicker of Cedar City spent Saturday evening even-ing here with their folks, the Jay Davenports. Jay Davenport, Oscar Hulet, Delos Dalton, Alma Lawrence and Ray Farrow spent Saturday working at the Church Welfare ranch. |
