Show Work Continues on Parowan-Breaks Road That workmen for the L. A. Young Construction Company are still working on the road con- struction project between Jinny-Beck Jinny-Beck Flat and the Cedar Breaks Monument boundary was revealed reveal-ed to us the first of the week when the men returned to their jobs following the week end in Richfield. A small crew of five men stopped stop-ped here Sunday evening, and informed us that they are still working on the Mammoth Hill portion of the project with some heavy pieces of machinery. They are keeping the road open up Parowan canyon to the working area they stated. We understand that the route of the road around what Is known as the Jensen Hole, which followed around the hill below the old corduroy bridge on the present road, has had to be relocated re-located above the corduroy bridge because of difficulties down under un-der the road. It seems that the builders had placed considerable dirt In the large fill below the bridge when suddenly, according accord-ing to the worker's statement, "it just disappeared." A large portion of the grade work has been done on the project pro-ject and the capping of the road bed with gravel should be able to get under way as soon as spring comes. |
