Show Wallace Adams Sings Tenor Lead In Handel's Messiah' u iiiiMjunuwwii inn i i. i.(u.jiiiura - sa : X i .. . WALLACE ADAMS The Messiah will again be presented pre-sented in Cedar City, marking the owning of the season of Christmas Christ-mas music and festivities. Featured in this year's performance per-formance will be Wallace Adams who will sing here for the last time in a major production. Mr. Adams will be moving soon to Tucson, Ariz., to establish an insurance in-surance office. He has served faithfully in the music circles of Cedar City for the past fifteen years, ps a student at College of Southern Utah and as the teacher teach-er of vocal music at the College and at Cedar City High Sch ol. Mr. Adams has appeared in almost al-most all the performences of the "Messiah" since moving to Cedar City, and he has played the tenor ten-or leads in many of the grand operas of the College of Southern Utah Music Department. This performance of "Thou Shalt Break Them" in the December 17 performance of the "Messiah" will be Mr. Adams' final appearance appear-ance here before he moves. Another solo of Interest this year will be sung by Kent Myers. 'The Trumpet Shall Sound," a solo aria of great beauty will be sung here for the first time in many years. Harold Boyce will play the trumpet obligato. Other soloists are Janice Olson, Cleone Wilckcn, Cynthia Williams, Lois Maciarlane and Herschel Neeley. Performance time is set at 8:00 p. m., Sunday, Dec. 17, in the College of Southern Utah auditorium. |
