Show Fair Board Members And Wives Enjoy Steak Dinner Meeting Members of the Iron County Fair Board, their wives and husbands, hus-bands, and members of the Iron County Commission gathered together to-gether at Mitt's Stage Stop in Cedar Canyon Monday evening. Amasa Stones of Paragonah, chairman or tne air uoara, conducted con-ducted the meeting and expressed express-ed his appreciation for the cooperation coop-eration of members of the board, the commission and other agencies for the support for the 1961 show. He also projected a steady growth of the Iron County Fair and the importance that it can play in the area. He projected that the fair could grow, within the next several years, to include a full week of activities. He also suggested a continued effort to improve the Fair and to add entertainment activities to the event through the cooperation coopera-tion of other agencies and groups from within the county. Brief remarks were also heard from Commissioners Clarence E. Miller and Earl Bunn, and from Don Applegate, principal of the Parowan Elementary School, where exhibits were housed this year. The evening was concluded with a delicious steak dinner. |
