Show I Chicago Round I HARD WORK PAYS OFF FOR 4-H'ERS, WIN TRIP TO NATIONAL CONGRESS .Four Beehive State girls will be looking forward to all-expense paid trips to the National 4 II Club Congress in Chicago while they're eating their Thanksgiving feasts. Baverly Boytr Shcryl JoHtnton Vondi Willto AflnaH Snow The Cooperative Extension Service has announced the follow, ing girls as delegates: Beverly Boyer, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Boyer who have a 900 acre farm near Coalville; Sheryl Johanson, 18, daughter of Mrs. Lola Johanson, Midvale; Vonda Willson, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oran Willson who farm 400 acres near Elmo, and Annette Snow, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Snow, of Roosevelt. 1 Miss Boyer, home economics award winner, and Miss Johanson, Johan-son, dress revue award winner, I are Utah State University freshmen. fresh-men. Miss Willion and Miss Snow, who achieved their fame In swine and foods-nutrition projects, respectively, are high school seniors. Miss Boyer has carried her 4-H training to college. She budgets and prepares meals for eight girls with whom she lives. This year as part of her 4-H foods project she planned and served meals for groups ranging from 10 to ISO people. Her club congress trip Is provided pro-vided by Montgomery Ward. Miss Johanson won her award by modeling best a black worsted wool sheath dress that she made. She also won a state blue ribbon in dress revue last year. She makes 75 percent of her clothes. Her trip award is financed by Simplicity Pattern Co. which this year marks IS years of 4-H support Miss Willson lias won top honors on her swine at the North Salt Lake and Southeastern South-eastern Junior Livestock Shows for six years. Her Chicago trip is provided by Moorman Mfg. Co. With an eye on the future, Miss Snow is planning to major in home economics when she goes to college. General Foods Corporation, the sponsor, will be her Club Congress host During her eight years in 4-H Club work, Miss Snow has won 23 blue and 13 purple ribbons, mostly in home economics projects. proj-ects.
