Show CSU Announces 4-Year Athletic Program Athletic council of the College Col-lege of Southern Utah announced this week that beginning with the 1DG3-C1 season of competitive competi-tive athletics, the school will no longer schedule two-year, junior college schools. According to the announcement announce-ment the CSU athletic depart, ment is moving into a four year program offering competitive athletics to junior and senior students at the college studying in the field of education. As a result the 1962-63 competitive compe-titive season will be the final season for CSU In the Intermoun-tain Intermoun-tain Athletic Conference. Intentions to move into a four-year four-year program were announced to the ICAC at the annual meeting held in Salt Lake City. In other conference matters the 1961 All-Conference football team was named with the following CSU Thunderbirds selected: Jim Allen, tackle and Jim Marshall, Mar-shall, halfback, were named to the conference all-star team. Honorable mention recognition recogni-tion was also received by Steve Cahoon at end, Ken Mackey, tackle; tac-kle; Scott Gordon, guard; Cardon Dalley, center and Phil Anderson at fullback. |
