Show 'learn by Dak' Proves Itself To 4-H'er Pair It pays to practice 4 H Club principles. And one of the club's basic principles 'Learn by Doing proved itself to a couple of Beehive Bee-hive State 4-H'ers. Both were named best-instate for their 1962 club projects; both attended attend-ed the 41st National 4 11 Club Congress in Chicago. .' . t 1 rf t. ; u i I Miu Dint AncUion Virginia Daines, 19, of Hyde Park placed first in the state's bread demonstration program sponsored by Standard Brands Incorporated. She is a student at Utah State University. Miss Daines is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earl M. Daines. Her award winning demonstration demonstra-tion was of French bread. She is t nine year member of 4-H. Jack Anderson, 18, of Ephra-im, Ephra-im, took top honors in the state swine project. It is sponso.-cd by the Moorman Mfg. Co. Anderson lives with his parents on their 165-acre Sanpete County farm. He raised nine sows, 37 fattened fat-tened hogs and 50 weavers in his swine project. In eight years tlub work, Anderson managed man-aged to save about $2,000. He feels it will help pay for a college col-lege education without making him dependent upon his parents. |
