The 16 scouts receiving the Eagle award In March represent over 40 of boys currently regis- , tcred In the troop who will have Eagles. A total of 20 other boys are currently working twrd this goal. Five of these will qualify qual-ify for the award in May. During the past year the troop has completed ten days and nights of camping, earned a total to-tal of 57 advanctments and 420 merit - badges, which- represent v v . s one-fourth of all merit badges earned in the district In 1962. . Camping experience included a four-day camp at Grand Canyon, Can-yon, Ariz., and a hike Into the canyon to the Colorado-River and ack. The troop also participated In a winter camp In six feet of snow in sub-zero temperatures. The group has averaged 73.3 attendance at troop meetings during 1962 and 357c since Sep- , (ember.
