Show I KANARRAVILLE NEWS NOTES Mrs. Hannah Davis Saturday night and all day Sunday a snow storm dumped several inches of snow after a heavy wind on Friday night. It is surely a welcome storm as we have had an unusually dry win- ter . Mrs. Verna Davis spent a couple cou-ple of days In Parowan on Jury Duty. Carma Williams and daughter Deborah, Gwen Davi-, Alva Batty Bat-ty and daughter Retta, attended a shower in New Harmony for Patty Kelsey, given by her grandmother, grand-mother, Nora Kelsey tend Leah Batty. Mr. and Mrs. Golden Roundy of Mesa, Ariz., visited about town with relatives and friends. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Preston Williams were Mr. and Mrs. Loren Hlgbee of Redondo Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Zohner and children of Beaver were here for a few days during spring vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Perry O. Williams and family of Henderson, Nev.. visited here. They returned home Sunday, accompanied by his mother, mo-ther, Amanda Williams, who will visit there for awhile. The ward gave a wedding reception re-ception for Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Loren-zo (Ren) Roundy Saturday evening eve-ning in the recreation hall. They were married March 9 in the St. George Temple. There was a fine program, and light refreshments refresh-ments were served. Lynn Reeves was master of ceremonies. There was a large crowd both old and young. Mrs. Roundy was the former Miss Isabelle Christensen of Escalante. Mr. and Mrs. Delile Davis and Val and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Williams and Chesley attendC the funeral for Mrs. Guy C. Tucker Tuck-er at Cedar City Saturday. Mrs. Irene Blunk of St. George was here with her sister, Mable Williams, for a few days. Mrs. Orpha Spencer and small daughter of Las Vegas were visitors vi-sitors with Carma Williams last week. Mrs. Lena Williams is visiting In Salt Lake City with some of her children and other relatives. Visitors here from Las Vegas with relatives and friends were Mr. and Mrs. Gary Williams, Rowen Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Clair Woodbury, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Williams and Vicky and Kenneth Williams. Ethna William-i and daughter I Barbara spent the spring vaca- tion in Provo, Salt Lake City and Logan with some of Ethna's children. Hazel Davies spent a few days in Salt Lake City with relatives and to say fvdbye to a niece, Janice Blake of St. George, who was leaving for an LDS Mission. Horace Roundy of Salt Lake City visited here with his daughter daugh-ter the Austin Ence family and attended the funeral of a relative, rela-tive, Beth Olds. |
