Show Isn't Iron County a Part of Utah? The Utah State Road Commission and the Governor, . as well, seem to have forgotten that I County is a part of the state of Utah. At least it would seem so when the question of highway building is considered. Since construction of the Interstate Highway System Avas started several years ago, Iron County has been completely com-pletely ignored in the. matter of highway development. True, one small contract has been let within the county, The Farowan Canyon Road, but other than that the county coun-ty has had no road projects whatsoever. ' Last week a list of highway projects to be undertaken undertak-en in the state through June, llJM, was published, but not even one minor project in Iron County wes included. Seems that the only time that upstate politicians, including in-cluding Governor George D. Clyde, knows that Iron Coun-i ty exists is when they are in need of a few extra votes. |
