Show , Cedar City Matron Dies in Provo Hospital f ! . f FLORENCE TUCKER Mrs. Florence Eliza Jensen Tucker, 64, died Wednesday, March 13, in a Provo hospital. She was born in Eastdale, Colorado, Col-orado, on March 8, 1899, a daughter of Christian and Carrie Car-rie Peterson Jensen. On April 13, 1921, she married Guy Tucker in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they had lived in Cedar City for many years. Survivors Include her husband, hus-band, two sons, Grant C, and Floyd J., Tucker, Cedar City; a daughter, Mrs. John (Lois) Thomas, Helena, Mont.; 12 grandchildren, and the following follow-ing brothers and sisters: Oliver Jensen, Wilford R. Jensen, Alice Lund, and Mrs. Ester Hunt, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar Third Ward Chapel Saturday afternoon and burial was In the Cedar City Cemetery. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by Thomas Jensen. Services conducted by Bp. Counselor Jay Overson, were held In the Cedar Third Ward chapel. Opening prayer was by Hilldon E. Tucker. Speakers included Mrs. Austin Heywood, Vernlle Terry and Sam , Pyne with remarks by Bp. Over-son. Special musical numbers included in-cluded a mixed quartet, composed compos-ed of Hershel Neeley, Eugene Palmer, Shirley Stratton and Joan Hayes singing "Rest, Rest for the Weary," and "Jesus Lover of My Soul." They were accompanied accom-panied by Ada Palmer. "In the Garden," was sung by Robert Jensen, accompanied by Mrs. Palmer. Benediction was given by Albert Al-bert Madsen and the dedication of the grave at the Cedar City cemetery was by Oliver Jensen. Prelude and Postlude music was played by Gail Crawford. |
