Show Paragonah Girl Dies In Auto Crash Miss La Jean Hunt, 22, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Hunt of Paragonah, was killed in an automobile accident last Saturday Satur-day evening in Davis county while traveling from Salt Lake City to Ogdon. The driver of the car in which she was a passenger, passen-ger, her cousin Ward Alverson, died before he could be gotten to a hospital and Miss Hunt was killed instantly. The accident happened when the Alverson car crashed into a car going south, with the driver of the other car reported as dying on Wednesday. ' Miss Hunt was a civil service employee at Denver, Colo., and had come to Utah to attend a reunion of the Dorrity family held at Stockton, Tooele county and at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. She had just left the family group at the park to go to Og-den Og-den when the accident happened. She had just received an overseas over-seas assignment in the Foreign Service and expected to leave for Japan within a month. She was born in Cedar City and had lived in Paragonah all of her life. She graduated from the Parowan high school after which she worked in the office of the Iron County school board for some time before going to Denver. She is survived by her parents; one brother, Bernell Hunt; Four sisters. Wanda, La-JRee, La-JRee, Mildred and Janet Hunt all of Paragonah. Funeral services are being held for her today in the Paragonah ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Victor Robinson, and burial will be made in the Paragonah Para-gonah cemetery under the direction direc-tion of the Southern Utah Mortuary. |
