Show INVITATION TO BID j Notice is hereby given that Cedar Ce-dar City Corporation, Cedar City, Utah, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner" will receive bids up to 4:00 p. m. of the 10th day of August, 1953, for the award of contract for furnishing all labor and equipment excluding materials mater-ials in connection with certain trunk line extensions to its sanitary, sani-tary, sewer system, located within with-in the incorporated limits of Cedar Ce-dar City, Utah. Such bids will be received in the office of the City Recorder, located in the City Hall in said city and will be opened op-ened and publicly read aloud at the above time in the Court Room in said building. Each bid must conform and be responsive to this invitation, the information for bidders, the Plans, Specifications, and all other instruments comprising the pertinent Contract Documents. Copies of the Contract Documents are now on file and open to pub-lie pub-lie inspection in the office of the City Engineer of Cedar City located lo-cated at the City Hall in Cedar City. Copies of plans and specifications speci-fications may be obtained at the office of the City Recorder by depositing de-positing $10.00 for each set. This deposit will be refunded if the plans and specifications are returned re-turned in good condition within 5 days r.fter the date of bid opening. Each bid shall be made out on a bid form to be obtained at either of the offices mentioned above for obtaining plans and specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied accompani-ed by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Owner, or a satisfactory bid bond in fav'or of the Owner execute! by the bidder bid-der as Principal and a satisfactory satisfac-tory surety company as surety, in an amount not less than five percent of the maximum amount of the bid. The cneck or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder shall execute the Contract if it is awarded to him in conformity with the Contract Documents and shall provide the surety bond as specified therein within five (5) days after notification notifi-cation of the award of the bidder. bid-der. The work to be done consists essentially of the following: Digging a sewer trench approximately ap-proximately 34 inches wide 8 feet 5 inches deep and 3100 feet long and backfilling same; approximately ap-proximately 3030 cubic yards. Laying 3400 feet of 12 inch sewer tile. The construction of 10 concrete manholes with C. I. cover and rings complete. The owner reserves the privilege priv-ilege of rejecting any and all bids or to waive any irregularities irregular-ities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding.
