Show SUP, DUP Old Folks Program Gets Warm Response Sons and Daughters of the Utah Pioneers expressed then pleasure at the response to Pioneer Pio-neer Day activities sponsored by the two organizations on July 21. Both the SUP and DUP expressed ex-pressed their thanks to participating partici-pating personnel and to A. I!. Larson and the Cedar City high school band for the fine early morning concert. During the day the two organizations organi-zations sponsored a band eon-cert, eon-cert, a pioneer day program and a dinner and show for all residents resi-dents over (5 years of age in the city. The DUP also expressed its appreciation to the Yergensen Brothers of Cedar City for entertaining enter-taining the pioneers following the dinner at the first ward ward church. Attending the dinner meeting of the Cedar City old-timers was Mr. and Mrs. John Holland, former for-mer Cedar City residents now living liv-ing in Salt Lake City. They enjoyed en-joyed meeting with friends and reminiscing of days gone by. Photographs of the dinner were taken by Zion Photo Shop and prints will be available at the studio for those interested, according ac-cording to the DUP officers. |
