Show SOCIETY NOTES i Mrs. Ralph Box The Wallace Osborne home was the scene of a patio party Thursday evening for a buffet supper. Those present were Mr. J and Mrs. Reed Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Newel Wasden, Mi', and Mrs. Ivan Orton, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Harrison, Mr. and Mrs. Lor-an Lor-an Hirschi, Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Chamberlain, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Eu-gene Palmer and Mr. and Mrs. Osborne. The evening was enjoyed en-joyed with moving pictures shown by Mr. Osborne. A "baby" shower honoring Mrs. Fred LaFrentz was held at the home of Mrs. Clayton Lewis Tuesday evening. Cards were played and refreshments were served by the hostess, Mrs. Lewis.. Lew-is.. Among those present were Mrs. Ira McClure, Mrs. R. L. Wahl, Mrs. H. M. Endsley, Mrs. Lewis Guthiel, Mrs. Murray Butler, But-ler, Mrs. Ralph Box, Mrs. Robert Smith, Mrs. Harold Oakley, Mrs. C. L. Lynch, Mrs. S. A. Schmitt, Mrs. Fred Biederman, Mrs. Carl Wasmuth, Mrs. Evan Caruthers, Mrs. Otto Junge, Mrs. A. F. Gei-ger, Gei-ger, Sr., Mrs. Ernest Boyns, Mrs. Frank Quinn and Mrs. Henry Schuson. Mrs. David Dix enjoyed an unusually un-usually pleasant day Sunday when her family of 11 children joined in Cedar City for a family fam-ily gathering and dinner. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Dix and children of Los Angeles; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde L. Anderson and children of Denver Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Carter, Salt Loke City; Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Dix, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Dix of Las Vegas,; Ve-gas,; Mr. and Mrs. Fallas Olof-son, Olof-son, Mr. and Mrs. Corry Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lowder, Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Dix, Mr. and Mrs. Court Nelson and Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Green, all of Cedar City. Joining with them were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cheshie of Salt Lake City, friends of the Dix family. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Box werel pleasantly surprised Wednesday evening when a group of friends dropped in at their home with covered dishes for dinner to celebrate cele-brate the Box's wedding anniversary- A lovely gift was presented pre-sented to the couple by Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Bunting, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wycoff, Wrs. W. F. Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Wahl Mr. and Mrs. Glen White, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bird, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Mace, Mr. and Mrs. William Herold. The evening was spent in playing bridge, with high scores awarded to Mrs. Glen White and Mrs. Herold. Wednesday evening Mrs. Wen-die Wen-die Jones was hostess to 12 guests for luncheon and bridge. Special guests were Mrs. Richard H. Leigh, and Mrs. Graham Mac-Donald, Mac-Donald, with prizes awarded to Mrs. Dee Cowan and Mrs. Boyd 1 Paulson. 1 |
