Show 4-H Groups Prepare To Attend Duck Creek Outing The date for the Iron County 4-H Encampment at Duck Creek is drawing near and 4 H groups of the county are busily preparing prepar-ing for the annual event scheduled sched-uled for Aug. 6, 7 and 8, according accord-ing to Fern Johnson, home demonstration dem-onstration agent for the extension exten-sion service in Iron County. Nominations for mayor and scrip for the encampment have been made and committees for every phase of the encampment have been selected. Nominated for the position of mayor for the encampment were Kenneth Perkins, Per-kins, DeAnne Grimshaw, Mary Jane Dalley and Mavis Jones, with Mary Susan Benson, Charlotte Char-lotte Perkins, Dorothy Simkins and Anita Cox vying for scrip. In attendance at the encamp- ment will be David Sharp, Jr., who is state supervisor of 4 H club work. The encampment will be under un-der the direction of the Iron County extension service with Stephen L. Brower, county agent and Miss Johnson directly in charge. |
