Show Vera Pickerl Speaks At Kiwanis Meeting A brief outline of the national cooperative meeting in New Orleans Or-leans early this year, and a first hand account of Washington, D. C. during inaugural time were heard by members of the Cedar City Kiwanis club at their Monday Mon-day evening meeting as given by guest speaker, Vem Pickerl, California " livestock ' man and farmer. Mr. Pickerl discussed the down to earth methods of the cooperatives cooper-atives throughout the country in his outline of the national meeting, meet-ing, but turned to a more humorous humor-ous side In explaining the bewilderment be-wilderment of his first visit to Washington, D. C. and the confusion con-fusion he experienced in his brief visit to the nation's capital. Max Robinson, was in charge of the meeting under the guidance guid-ance of the Agricultural committee commit-tee of the club. Following the regular session a board meeting was held with president Therol MacArthur in charge, while the remaining memberssip moved to the B A C fieldhouse for a short course in waist reducing at the volleyball nets. |
